SHOKO NAGANO
Freelance Editor, Writer, Singer
A former creative director at one of the leading publishing companies in Japan, Shoko moved to Berkeley, California in 2001 to study English and Communications.  In 2004, she returned to Japan to begin a new career as a freelance editor and writer. Since 2007, she has lived in suburban Chicago, where she works as a freelance writer and editor covering Chicago news with a focus on music, education, and cultural issues. Shoko loves all kinds of music, especially jazz and blues, and performs as a singer. She is a fourth-degree holder in the Japanese martial arts, Kendo, and a sake lover. In 2006, she published a book of essays, Tanomo America  (it means "Here I come, America.")　Leader of Chicago-Awaodori (Japanese folk dance group).　The member of Japan Travel Writers' Organization (JTWO)

長野尚子　
イリノイ州シカゴ在住フリーライター。
㈱リクルートで情報誌やWebの制作マネジャー＆ディレクターを務めたあと、2001年に退職。すぐに単身、アメリカ（カリフォルニア州バークレー市）へ修行に出る。帰国後、子育て関連誌の編集者を経て、 2006年3月より再びバークレーへ。2007年10月より、研究者である夫の仕事の関係でシカゴ郊外に移る。
主に音楽、旅、国際文化交流をテーマに人脈を広げながら執筆活動中。
特技はJazz（ピアノ＆ヴォーカル）、剣道（四段）。阿波踊りシカゴ「美湖連」所属。
好きなことは食べることと飲むこと。極上のブルースを求めてひとりでシカゴの夜を徘徊するのが趣味。バークレーでの3年間の留学生活を綴った「たのもう、アメリカ。」（近代文芸社）発売中。「日本旅行作家協会」（JTWO）会員
